Job description: Enterprise Architect with Baseline Security Clearance or Ability to Obtain– Canberra Preferred, Open to Major Australian CitiesWe are seeking an Enterprise Architect to drive common approaches and deliver architectures that support business needs for the Department and align with whole-of-government strategic direction. This role involves working closely with program solution architects to understand program requirements and vision while engaging with the Department’s architectural and delivery stakeholders. You will also contribute to the Department’s ICT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide solution, data, infrastructure, and application architects to define and document ICT solutions aligned with future-state architecture.
• Identify opportunities for data, process, and technology re-use across programs or the organization.
• Assess and scope needs for common platforms and enterprise services, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Communicate future-state architectures effectively to stakeholders and ensure key decisions have documented traceability.
• Engage in stakeholder consultation, approvals, and reviews to facilitate the adoption of future-state architectures.
• Apply whole-of-government policies, including the DTA Digital Service Standard and Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, develop cost models, and provide expert advice on cost management and authentication frameworks.
• Architect and integrate whole-of-government capabilities, facilitating cross-agency collaboration.
• Design and implement cloud-based architectures, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft cloud solutions.

Essential Criteria:

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Enterprise Architecture, leading teams to define, design, and document ICT solutions.
• Proven expertise in developing enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and patterns.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, strategic planning, and time management.
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud computing approaches, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (or current clearance preferred).
