Job description: Job Description:Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the worldWood is recruiting for a Engineering Design System Administration- E3D / PDMS to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for the set-up of AUTOCAD project databases, development, maintenance, training and user support for the specific engineering design system.Position is based in Oman for a long-term assignment.Responsibilities:The Engineering Design System Administration- E3D / PDMS will be responsible:

• Possesses solid knowledge / experience (multiple years) of AUTOCAD project administration in the support of projects (including support of an AUTOCAD user community) within the Greenfield and Brownfield environments.

• Exposure and experience with Oracle, C languages, PML, LISP and Visual Basic would be most desirable.

• Possesses strong AutoCAD / interface DB knowledge.

• Possesses broad onshore design experience with quality control / checking skills, and awareness of fabrication techniques. Has knowledge of onshore oil and gas production facility design standards / specifications.

• Has the ability to effectively interface with multiple communities, including project managers, engineering managers, discipline engineers / designers, vendors and other team leaders.

• Has hardware knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project).

• Has complete understanding of FEED, detail design in Greenfield and Brownfield deliverables for Onshore projects.

• Understands the scope of each project and has the capability to create AUTOCAD project database structures that will enable the 2D design and subsequent creation of deliverables from the AUTOCAD Interface PDM databases. This includes interfacing the AutoCAD system with other software vendors and in house developed databases such as SPI, PDMS, AVEVA Net portal, etc.

• Ensure Quality Management System requirements are met in line with ISO 9001-2015 /API Q2 2nd Ed.

• Coordinates multi-discipline design expertise using 2D AutoCAD systems.

• Works closely with Design Supervisor, EDS Supervisor, Project Engineers, Project Management, and Multi-discipline Engineers in the forecasting, scheduling of man hours, cost, project deliverables, quality control, design input and overall project support.

• Recommends, designs and implements work process improvements.

• Requires a minimum of an associate degree or equivalency in the computer drafting or engineering technology related field with at least 10 years of experience in applying the discipline skill(s) to upstream oil and gas projects with experience on major capital projects.

• Engineering degree / diploma or equivalent time based application experience

• Working and delivering in a multi-cultural environment

• Has proven experience in supporting the PDMS/E3D systems for all aspects of the system and its interfaces

• Has proven experience in configuring the system for company specific requirements

• Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting, presenting and training the system to others in all levels within the business
