We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain – and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.In this role, you will be responsible for region strategy; business development & cost reduction opportunities with utilities and other power vendors; as well as program management & delivery of large scale critical high voltage power infrastructure projects for AWS data-centers. The ideal candidate for this role will have a high-level technical understanding of high voltage substation and transmission lines. Have experience in delivering substation programs, on time, from design to energization inclusive of contract negotiations.The candidate will be required to evaluate power needs for data center sites and develop power infrastructure strategies to serve those sites. The candidate will require strong communications skills to work with internal and external stakeholders including engineering, real estate & planning teams, as well as government utilities & agencies, EPC contractors, and design consultants. The candidate may need to manage multiple large-scale power infrastructure projects across different regions. The candidate will work as part of an integrated Energy team across the APAC region to implement energy program requirements and deliver tangible reliability and cost saving results.This role is based out of Sydney, 15% travel may be required.Key job responsibilities
