Job description: Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionDesign and validate special tools and test equipment for heavy off-road vehicles. Develop and design electrical circuits, components, systems, and equipment. Create maintenance and operating procedures for electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment. Coordinate prototype fabrication with local vendors to ensure deliverables are met. Communicate with Engineering and Training Departments to develop concepts and maintain interface with customers, business partners, and suppliers. Maintain drawing files and CAD model structure to comply with department procedures.Responsibilities

• Design and validate special tools and test equipment for heavy off-road vehicles.
• Develop and design electrical circuits, components, systems, and equipment.
• Create maintenance and operating procedures for electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
• Coordinate prototype fabrication with local vendors to ensure deliverables are met.
• Communicate with Engineering and Training Departments to develop concepts and maintain interface with customers, business partners, and suppliers.
• Maintain drawing files and CAD model structure to comply with department procedures.

Essential Skills

• Electrical design of a product (3+ years).
• Strong communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and electrical aptitude skills.
• Electrical Engineering Degree or College Diploma.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of 3D Modeling/Parametric CAD experience.
• Effective project management skills.
• Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 5% US & International) and possess/able to acquire and maintain a valid passport.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Unigraphics (Siemens NX) CAD software.
• Experience with Team Center Engineering/Manufacturing applications.
• Experience within a unionized environment.
• Experience in the automotive industry, wire harness, CAN, Ethernet, automotive controls.
• Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering experience.
