MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia PacificPosition details: DLP Cyber EngineerLocation: MUFG Bank, BCIT Campus, BangaloreRoles and Responsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible for Cyber Security Data Loss Prevention management and assessments across MUFGs Banking arm and Securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.

• DLP Incident Analysis: Monitor and analyse email DLP alerts generated by the Symantec DLP system to identify potential data loss events or policy violations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to investigate incidents, understand context, and ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks.
• Policy Management: Create, review, and amend DLP rules and policies in line with business requirements, regulatory obligations, and evolving data security risks.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents, including root cause analysis, remediation actions, and recommendations for improvement.
• Compliance Support: Ensure all DLP activities align with internal data security policies, external regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify trends and patterns in DLP incidents to proactively recommend improvements to DLP policies and processes.
• Training and Awareness: Provide input to security awareness initiatives by sharing insights on common data loss trends or risks observed through DLP monitoring.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the wider security team to assess the effectiveness of current DLP policies and processes, proposing and implementing enhancements where required.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment of DLP policies with overall organisational goals and regulatory mandates.
• Escalation Management: Escalate high-risk or complex incidents to appropriate teams or management for further investigation and resolution. Risk Identification and Mitigation
• Create dashboards and reports in ServiceNow to provide visibility into risk levels for senior management and governance committees.
• Support MUSIs information security risk profile and associated operational risk reporting.
• Act as a subject matter expert for DLP, providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed.
• Be seen as the Information Security centre of excellence for MUSI and ensure MUSI adopt an appropriate and professional response on any information security issues raised by the organisations business activities.
• Support Information Security incidents where requested.
• Support Operational Security duties where requested.

Skills and Experience:Essential Skills and Experience:

• DLP Expertise: Experience in monitoring, analysing, and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) incidents, particularly using Symantec DLP or similar platforms.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to mitigate risks.
• Stakeholder Communication: Proven experience in engaging with business stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in non-technical terms, and managing sensitive incidents with discretion and professionalism.
• Policy Management: Knowledge of creating, modifying, and implementing DLP rules and policies to address business requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of Data Security Standards: Familiarity with data protection laws and standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO 27001) and their application to DLP processes.
• Incident Documentation and Reporting: Skilled in documenting incidents, performing root cause analysis, and creating detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and accuracy when analysing alerts, reviewing policies, and preparing reports.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and addressing gaps in DLP policies or processes.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Security Awareness: Understanding of broader information security concepts, such as email security, insider threat, and risk management.
• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with security tools and technologies beyond DLP, such as email gateways, web proxies, or SIEM systems, to provide context during investigations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of industry-specific regulatory requirements (e.g., SWIFT, SOX) and their impact on data security practices.
• Process Improvement: Experience in streamlining workflows, reducing false positives, or optimising DLP policies to improve operational efficiency.
• Certification: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CIPP/E, or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 2+ years of experience in a similar DLP or data security-focused role.
