Together, we will build on our company’s long history and keep on leading the way to a better world.Discover your exciting rolesWith responsibility for leading the Planning & Scheduling function for the Exyte global data center business, the objective of this position is to ensure the consistent delivery of world-class project outcomes through the effective management of time and performance.A crucial part of the of the role will be fostering a lean management approach, and leading collaboration across the regional, functional and company planning resources within the Group.You will be an active and visible champion of the Exyte Way and work closely with the Director for Project and Construction Management GBU DTC to drive the organisation to a consistent level of excellence for Planning practices and performance, implement strategic initiatives in planning and minimize any variance in schedules from what was originally planned on the DTC project fleet.Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Improve and implement the GBU Project Planning & Scheduling strategy to align with wider corporate philosophy, business objectives, Lean management and Last Planner System approaches.
  • Adopt the one ERP approach through the implementation of corporate software solutions for resource management (MMS), planning & scheduling (P6), progress reporting (TMS) to streamline project management processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Provide hands-on support & oversight with project set-up (including promotion of the GBU Project Planning & Scheduling strategy) to ensure processes, systems, tools & effective control are consistently implemented at the earliest possible stage & maintained across the business
  • Update and maintenance of the DTC Planning and Scheduling guideline in line with the Exyte Corporate procedures and Lean Management principles.
  • Provide early-stage support to business acquisition teams, including preparation of relevant technical bid planning deliverables
  • Provide lead client / statutory Planning & Scheduling liaison & support
  • Global travel to Exyte offices and project sites as well as customer meetings on an as needed and potential short notice basis.

Show your expertises

  • 12+ years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Experience in a medium or large company in an operational role as part of the management team.
  • Experience in the construction industry preferably in the DTC sector
  • Proven expertise in Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) or EPC environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven track record of world class project control delivery & software/tools
  • Experience of effectively managing customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Specific experience in key technical areas such as civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical will be an advantage in fulfilling the responsibilities of the role
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex issues to a variety of stakeholders in English
