Job description: The Director Statistical Data Analysis will be responsible for transforming complex source-system data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This role will focus heavily on using SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze source-system datasets, supporting the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing data-driven insights that inform financial planning and performance management.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use SQL to query large datasets from multiple source-systems, ensuring accurate and timely extraction of relevant data.
  • Identify patterns and trend in sales and consumer behavior with statistical analysis
  • Perform data analysis to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and business teams to identify data needs and provide tailored reports and insights.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL scripts and queries to support ongoing financial reporting and analysis needs.
  • Create and manage financial dashboards and reports that enable effective decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Analyze financial trends, identifying key insights that support senior leadership in developing strategies and improving financial performance.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives by automating data workflows and streamlining reporting processes.
  • Present complex financial data and analysis to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with proven experience in writing and optimizing complex queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working with large datasets and databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) to support financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting principles.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle Financials) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical SQL queries and financial data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus but not required.

Expected salary: $160000 – 175000 per year
