Are you excited about working together with Education Professionals to build ongoing support within schools and districts to sustain positive change?The Southern Regional Education Board is seeking a Director of State & District Partnerships for our Office of School Improvement to be responsible for designing, negotiating, supervising, and leading school improvement work and provide high quality services for each school district. The Director of State & District Partnerships develops and manages School Improvement programs and services, oversees staff performance, responds to requests for proposals (RFPs), and collaborates with stakeholders to improve school and district outcomes. This role is essential for expanding the reach of SREB initiatives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support.SREB is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization based in Atlanta. We are an organization of professionals committed to our mission: helping states and educators improve the social and economic vitality of the SREB region. SREB works with states to improve education at every level, from pre-K through Ph.D. Our vision is that all students in the SREB region will have high-quality educational opportunities that build on the rich diversity of the region and lead to productive, meaningful lives and robust economies.What does a Director of State & District Partnerships do?
What does it take to be a Director of State & District Partnerships? Master’s degree in education or a related field; AND four (4) years of teaching experience, two (2) years of which were in a leadership role; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.For this opportunity, we seek candidates who have the following attributes:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages all assigned staff and is responsible for performance management, hiring and termination of staff.Compensation
To support SREB’s top priorities, compensation decisions balance internal equity and external competitiveness within the boundaries of financial feasibility. Salaries for new employees will be established at levels that recognize the individual’s skills and experience while considering the salary levels of current employees within the same job title and those performing comparable work within the parameters of discipline, function, and individual effectiveness.Starting Salary: $106,239 – 119,519
