Job description: ROLE SUMMARY Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance, internally known as a Controller to join their leadership team and drive their financial operations and strategy during this exciting growth phase. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of our organization. WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays POSITION TYPE: Full Time WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Handle the following financial management and strategy duties: Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes Develop financial strategies to support business growth and operational needs Handle the following accounting operations duties: Manage all accounting operations, including billing, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes to support scalability Handle the following internal controls and compliance duties: Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements Prepare for and coordinate external audits Handle the following leadership and collaboration duties: Manage and mentor a small accounting and finance team Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and strategy Partner with other departments to streamline cross-functional processes QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA is preferred 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with 2+ years in a controller level position Strong knowledge of financial regulations, GAAP, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and NetSuite) Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, preferably in recruitment, marketing, or technology sectors Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and forecasting Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team Show more Show less
