Job description: Join us on a mission that matters.LevelTen Energy is looking for a Director, North America Transactions to join the Transactions Team and facilitate renewable energy transactions between Buyers and Sellers. We are looking for an individual who can support a variety of market signal types that include Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) through the Energy Marketplace and, as required, Tax Credit Transfer Agreements through the Tax Credit Marketplace. In this role, you will manage a team of Transaction Managers and be responsible for mentorship, professional development, and upholding company values for your direct reports. This role will report to the Senior Director of Energy Marketplace. We will accept candidates who are remote and willing to travel to Seattle, WA, as required.Job Description

  • Procurement Optimization for PPAs – Passion for innovating on PPAs, balancing contract risk, and streamlining complex procurement processes that bring buyers and sellers together in an efficient way.
  • People management – Management of the North America-based Transaction Team, inclusive of Managers and Specialists.
  • Content creation – As needed, compile statistics and metrics to internal and external stakeholders to inform complex procurement concepts and/or substantiate . Present findings clearly and concisely to teams through slide decks, workbooks, etc.
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) – Coordinate with Customer Engagement and Sales Enablement Teams to maintain up-to-date customer and stakeholder records.
  • Platform Expertise – Become an expert on the LevelTen Energy software Platform and the procurement tools available, providing input to product innovation based on evolving customer needs.
  • Product Improvement – Suggest areas for improvement to the LevelTen Platform and provide feedback on new Platform features.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of full-time professional experience in renewable energy PPA origination, project management, and/or voluntary renewable energy procurement.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing Transactions teams.
  • Deep experience in PPA contracting across multiple regions in North America.
  • Fluent in renewable energy development with an understanding of primary differences across states and energy markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak about commodity market fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of North America compliance markets and Renewable Energy Certificates.
  • Introductory understanding of Tax Credit Transfer agreements and negotiations is a plus.
  • Ability to bring a high degree of professionalism to customer discussions and instill confidence in complex negotiations/purchasing decisions.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Salesforce, project management tools (Asana, Jira, or similar), Tableau experience would be a plus.
  • Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional Skills:
  • Teamwork: Ability to work a variety of different internal groups.
  • Urgency: Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time, recognizing the importance of corporate objectives.
  • Professionalism: Collaborate with your peers and superiors to drive cross-department accountability.
  • Language: Fluency in English required, other European language are a plus but not required.

Additional details

  • This position is based out of our office in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule). Remote candidates with exceptionally strong qualifications may be considered.
  • The estimated compensation for this position is $160,000-190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
