As part of the Cloud and Enterprise organization, we support the needs of more than 200 Microsoft online services, including Bing, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and several hundred thousand customers using Azure to host and run their Cloud Services in over 100 datacenters, running millions of servers and edge computing nodes all over the world. Our customers and partners rely on our commitment, follow through and continuous improvement to achieve their goals.We are looking for a Director, Network Deployments – Leading EMEA who will be able to develop and execute regional strategies to deliver Cloud network infrastructure along with the related technologies to support data center capacity demands at scale in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Applying a system thinking approach, you will need to understand the product/program lifecycle process, apply technical insights and deep knowledge of constraints along the deployment execution process and across ecosystem teams to drive network deployments across EMEA that ensure predictable delivery of capacity to end customers on time. You are part of a global team where you will plan, lead, and coordinate with global stakeholders and external suppliers to deploy greenfield and brownfield network infrastructure sites.Responsibilities:As a Director, Network Deployments – Leading EMEA, you will be responsible for the following:

• Driving hyperscale cloud network infrastructure deployment projects in EMEA required to enable new cloud capacity, leveraging knowledge of formal program and operations management principles.
• Develop, own and champion the regional network infrastructure strategy that is aligned with global priorities and the organizational roadmap for delivery.
• Work with partners on defining and controlling program scope, creating, and executing to committed schedules as well as maintaining and reporting out program deliverables across the region.
• Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, including assessment of program delivery capabilities, gathering, leveraging performance data/metrics, establishing corresponding targets, and measurement of on-going progress improvement and scaling initiatives.
• Enable/drive and support workflow orchestration, and integration efforts whilst enabling systemic automation along with effective data management.
• Lead with outstanding communication, problem solving, analytical and program management skills.
• Coordinate with datacenter operations and engineering teams to improve scalable deployment activity and related performance.
• Responsible for end-to-end deployment lifecycle, carefully balancing delivery quality and managing priorities, taking corrective actions as necessary to meet stated business objectives.
• Work independently in a dynamic and high-pressure environment and timely delivery despite ambiguous and changing business requirements.

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

• OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• 4+ years people management experience.
• Ability to support EMEA time zone
• 4+ years of technical strategy, large-scale operations and/or program/project management experience in a cloud-based technology business or similar industry.

These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field and 7+ years experience in Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
• 7+ years experience leading teams in a diverse organization across multiple disciplines and platforms.
• 5+ years network infrastructure strategy experience and proven track record of coordinating hyper scale program/project delivery within large IT/Telecommunications, Internet Service Provider, cloud-based technology business or similar industry.
• 5+ years of people management experience with ability to build and lead highly effective teams.
• 2+ years experience in supply chain management, procurement processes, trade restrictions and associated financial and project controls.
• Demonstrated technical/process problem solving and communication skills with the ability to make sense of ambiguity and drive outcomes.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with often rapidly changing or ambiguous requirements.
• Track record of making pragmatic business and engineering tradeoffs to create and deliver business value.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Expertise in using MS office productivity tools – Excel, Microsoft Project, power-bi, Kusto, SQL etc.
• Expertise in deployment of high-performance, highly available, large scale distributed network and related technologies, preferably in tier one cloud provider datacenters
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter environments such as power, physical space, rack units, cooling, cable routing and management.
• Deep networking experience and understanding of network infrastructure, routing, load balancing, Internet transport protocols and optical networking.
• Strong background in program management methodologies, approaches, and tools (e.g. PMP/Six Sigma certification).

Technical Program Management M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 – $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 – $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
