If you’re passionate about creating sustainable, fit-for-purpose environments that support teaching, learning, and community growth, we want to hear from you!As the Director of Capital Planning & Projects, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for:Campus Development: Drive long-term campus plans, ensuring flexibility, sustainability, and alignment with EIT’s strategic goals.Capital Projects: Lead major and minor projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting stakeholder needs.Property Management: Oversee leases, contracts, and tenancy agreements while ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.Partnerships: Collaborate with internal teams, iwi, local authorities, and external stakeholders to foster strong partnerships.This role requires a proactive, innovative, and service-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, student-focused environment.Mō Mātou | About UsEIT, a business division of Te Pūkenga, is a vibrant, progressive tertiary institute with campuses in Tairawhiti (Gisborne), Hawkes Bay, and Auckland, and learning centres across the region. Our diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to this commitment.What You’ll BringQualifications & Experience:· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.· 10+ years of relevant experience, including project management and supervisory roles.· Knowledge of legislative standards, including the Resource Management Act and Building Act.· Proven experience in managing budgets, risk, and large-scale construction or maintenance activities.Skills & Competencies:· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.· Expertise in capital asset planning, feasibility studies, and long-term cost efficiency strategies.· Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and foster collaborative relationships.· Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.Me pēhea te tono | How to ApplyEIT is committed to the protection of children and vulnerable persons and adheres to relevant policies to meet this commitment.
