Job description: The positionIn the role of Director of Business Development & Key Account Management (BD&KAM) you will primarily execute on the contract manufacturing business strategy of Boehringer Ingelheim BioXcellence™, with focus on Microbial Technology. You will drive the microbial customer and product portfolio refreshment and expansion by screening, developing, and managing new and established accounts in the microbial arena. Moreover, you will represent the business externally at global conferences and events via direct company contacts.Tasks & responsibilities

• This role is working in a global BDKAM & Marketing team closely together with other BioXcellence Functions and the Vienna Biopharma site
• You will scout and screen potential new customers and products involving high level of company contact and extensive networking across various channels
• As a Business Development & Key Account Manager, you are the primary contact for new and established accounts leading through the BioXcellence acquisition process
• You will also serve as an Account Manager for selected established microbial accounts and products by leading account business teams
• In general, you manage account relationships, understand their needs and act as account ambassador towards the internal organization

Requirements

• PhD/Master’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in a business function, engineering or in technical operations preferred microbial
• Understanding of the Biotech/Pharma market, products, players, and technologies is a Must
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, strategic thinking and problem-solving
• Strong communication and presentation skills and excellent command of German and English (verbally and written)
• Outstanding networking and relationship skills with clear account focus and willingness to travel internationally (around 40%)

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 100.000 gross annual salary (full time). When defining the actual salary we are taking your technical skills as well as personal competencies and relevant professional experience into consideration.
