The requirement for this role includes conducting research and analysis to generate new business ideas, planning, investing, and managing new strategic and non-strategic business opportunities, create pre-feasibility studies for potential projects and take approved projects forward to execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance background with the ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, economics, finance, market research).
- Proven experience of at least 2 to 3 years in market research, business analysis, investment banking, private equity or similar roles.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment, independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and a passion for innovation.
Area of Responsibility
- Analyze and appraise all aspects of new partnership opportunities / investment proposals including financial, operational, commercial, legal, corporate governance, and environmental and social sustainability elements; and prepare investment recommendations where appropriate
- Actively participate in the structuring, negotiating and execution of investments / partnerships
- Prepare investment review materials and presentation to board/committee to obtain approval
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local private businesses, banking and multilateral partners to source and develop specific investment opportunities
- Assist coordination of all funding and investing activities for approval and execution of new projects
- Manage the portfolio of strategic investments and joint ventures
- Work closely with Manager New Ventures and other members of the New Ventures team
- Detailed studies on proposed new business ideas that include data collection through surveys and fieldwork, synthesis of the data through different research and data methodologies and presentation and conclusion of the same.
- Developing excel based financial models for analyzing the financial viability of a project
- Maintain, update, and protect electronic databanks
- Develop an understanding of the KE structure and organizational operations and develop relationships
- Conduct fact checking exercises.
Area of Responsibility (Continued)Business Idea Generation:
- Collaborate with the New Ventures Team to brainstorm and develop innovative business concepts and ideas.
- Evaluate the viability and potential of these ideas based on market insights.
Pre-Feasibility Studies:
- Develop pre-feasibility studies for selected business ideas, assessing their economic, technical, and operational feasibility.
- Analyze potential risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including tariff, regulatory affairs, finance etc. to refine and develop business understanding of the company operations and concepts.
- Act as a bridge between research and practical implementation.
