We’re about making a difference.About the roleAre you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive product demand forecasting across a business? We are looking for a Demand Forecasting Manager to spearhead our new Demand Forecasting team.In this pivotal role, you’ll optimize forecasting processes, drive the adoption of Relex, and influence decision-making as part of our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.Collaborating extensively with the Commercial, Store, and Supply Chain functions this key role will ensure suppliers have visibility of and trust our forecasts, whilst enabling decision-making that supports strategic and operational goals. Key focus areas will include:

  • Strategic Forecasting Leadership: Drive forecast accuracy and visibility to support strategic and operational goals
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 12, including 2 direct reports
  • Standardized Forecasting Approaches: Build and implement consistent forecasting methods enabled by Relex
  • S&OP Influence: Play a crucial role in decision-making within the S&OP process
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial, Store, and Supply Chain functions to ensure alignment and trust in our forecasts
  • Forecasting Community of Practice: Foster a community focused on best practices in forecasting
  • Technology and Innovation Advocacy: Leverage advanced data analytics and innovative technologies
  • Relex Optimization: Enhance Relex usage and reduce manual interventions
  • Training and Development: Support training initiatives related to Relex
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard operational health
  • Performance Measurement: Drive continuous improvement and performance measurement
  • Campaign Synchronicity: Ensure alignment across campaigns and events
  • Change Management: Understand and manage the impact of changes to product and location lifecycles

About youWe envisage our successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. This will complement grounded experience (5-10 years) in a multi-store retail environment, ideally in merchandise or strategic planning.In addition to overseeing complex data analysis, leadership experience (5+ years) particularly in forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, or merchandise planning is sought including 3+ years as a demand planner, category planner, forecasting analyst, or similar role.Key Skills & Attributes:

  • People Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams
