Have a look at our other great benefitsTe kōwhiringa | The OpportunityAn outstanding opportunity now exists to join the team in Tararua working as the Delivery Manager.Working as part of the Tararua Alliance team, a partnership between Tararua District Council and Downer, the key purpose of the Delivery Manager is to provide leadership and management of the Road Delivery Team to ensure deliverables are being achieved, while making best use of available financial, human and physical resources to provide a customer focused and responsive service delivery team.To be successful in this role, the Delivery Manager will apply strategic thinking to communicate and influence at all levels, developing relationships through collaboration, trust, and integrity. The Delivery Manager is responsible for managing processes associated with the provision of physical works including safety, traffic management, quality, environmental, financial, resource management in the delivery of maintenance, capital and emergency works to ensure the outputs meet expectations in the most cost-effective manner. You will also:

  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement, innovation and positive culture.
  • Ensure key customer and key stakeholder relationships are developed and strong working relationships within the Tararua Alliance and wider Downer Business are maintained and developed.
  • Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures. Support a culture that supports and maintains zero harm, environmental and sustainability practice, and management.
  • Manage the delivery of road maintenance, renewal, and improvement activities, ensuring performance meets requirements in terms of quality, cost and timeframes.
