Job description: Senior Database Administrator (Financial Institute)Responsibilities:Support architectural design and solutions for database systems and AIX software to meet business and cost goalsAdminister and manage DB2, Oracle, and SQL databasesInstall and configure database tools (e.g., Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate)Design and implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, mirroring, HA, security, and 24/7 operationsApply software upgrades, security patches, and maintain AIX-related systemsMonitor systems, tune performance, and plan capacityTroubleshoot and resolve incidents efficientlyMaintain accurate and updated system documentationEnsure database availability, integrity, and securityCollaborate with technical teams and vendors on system setupAdvise development teams on database design for projectsTrack and report system performance using monitoring toolsDeliver training on new database developmentsResearch and recommend improvements to database tools and servicesProvide guidance on database features and utilitiesRequirements:Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering/Science, or related fieldAt least 7 years’ experience in DBA rolesStrong knowledge of DB2, Oracle, and related toolsFamiliar with AIX systems and softwareSkilled in root-cause analysis and problem solvingQuick learner through self-study and hands-on experienceWilling to work evening/holiday shifts as neededFluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written)Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressureAll applications applied through our system will be delivered directly to the advertiser and privacy of personal data of the applicant will be ensured with security.
