Job description: We are seeking a Database Developer to join our experienced team of developers and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced programmers and developers. The right candidate will also have experience in delivering enterprise grade solutions, including transactional systems for large volumes of data. • Collaborate with development team to optimize queries
• Contribute to the design of our enterprise grade solutions
• Write reports based on well-defined requirements
• Design relational and multi-dimensional models
• Document the design and process architecture using standard tools such as MS Visio for Enterprise Architects
• Write PL/SQL and T-SQL stored procedures and packages
• Write user defined functions, triggers, and other database objects
• To design stable, and effective databases
• To support the DBA’s in the operational functionality, availability, efficiency, backup and recovery, and the security of the company’s MS SQL Server database
• To troubleshoot ineffective queries and optimise them
• To escalate all application problems and follow up to a resolution

Profile

• 3+ years of database development experience
• Experience with T-SQL programming
• MS SQL Server experience up to 2016
• Knowledge of MS Azure SQL would be beneficial.
• Reporting Tool experience (e.g. Reporting Services SSRS)
• Source control experience such as Visual SourceSafe or TFS
• Experience planning, designing, and building databases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent documentation and organisational skills
• Experience working alongside diverse technical teams (Developers, Testers, etc.).
• Experience or knowledge of Agile methodologies
• The ability to reverse Engineer legacy SQL and devise improvement plans
• Work with large database tables
• Developing end to end ETL solutions using SSIS, Stored Procedures and other ETL techniques
• Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS / SSRS)
