We are seeking a dedicated MongoDB Database Administrator to manage and optimize our NoSQL database environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, scalability, and security of our MongoDB deployments. This role requires a strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, sharding, replication, performance tuning, and security best practices.Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB clusters and standalone instances.
• Implement and manage sharding and replication for scalability and high availability.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for MongoDB.
• Monitor database performance using MongoDB monitoring tools and identify bottlenecks.
• Perform query optimization and indexing strategies for MongoDB.
• Implement and enforce security measures, including authentication, authorization, and auditing.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain MongoDB documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with development teams on schema design and query optimization for MongoDB.
• Perform database capacity planning and forecasting for MongoDB deployments.
• Manage and administer MongoDB Ops Manager or Cloud Manager.

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience ( 12+ years) as a MongoDB Database Administrator.
• Strong understanding of NoSQL database concepts and MongoDB architecture.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB installation, configuration, and administration.
• Experience with MongoDB sharding and replication.
• Proficiency in MongoDB query language and aggregation framework.
• Solid understanding of MongoDB backup and recovery methods (e.g., mongodump, mongorestore).
• Experience with MongoDB performance monitoring and tuning tools.
• Knowledge of MongoDB security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Preferred:

• MongoDB certifications.
• Experience with other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud-based MongoDB services (e.g., MongoDB Atlas).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Additional Skills:

• Excellent customer interfacing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
