Job description: ManTech seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Database Administrator to join our team located in the Ft. Meade, MD area.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:The Database Administrator maintains database integrity, security, availability, and compliance with business processes throughout the life cycle.Performs disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring.Evaluates and recommends database management system products.Performs database and application server administration.Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage.Minimum Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a DBABachelor’s degree or 3 years of additional DBA experience on projects may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Experience with one or more of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgresExperience with Creating and Maintaining bash scripts to dump and load databases as well as perform various maintenance tasks:(Rebuild Indexes, Update Statistics). Also perform basic database dump and load, transaction logging, and performance tuningPreferred Qualifications:Experience with running SQL agent jobs for MSSQL, familiar with installing software on Linux platforms.Experience with Identify management via Active Directory and CentifyExperience with Salt to deploy config files to end nodes and do various interrogations (Ping, DNS)Experience with NxLog, SALTSstack, Wazuh, NIFI for reading end node logs, HAproxy load balancer,Experience with Requesting, Renewing, and Installing/Updating PKI certs. Convert from pkcs12 to various formatsBasic experience with familiarization with nLyte, NEO datacenter inventory management applicationExperience with NIFI – ability to automate dataflows between software systemsExperience with Ranger/Docker – the ability to configure containerized applications. Primarily for distributed applicationsExperience with Kubernetes – the ability to configure open source platforms for container orchestration. Container management includes: app packing/scheduling, load balancing, storage orchestration, adv logging/monitoring/debuggingExperience with Wazuh, Nxlog, Saltstack – deploy config files to end nodes and various interrogations, GIT and HAProxy load balancerExperience with Vcenter/Vsphere – Building VMsClearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Poly.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
