Job description: Job Description:We’re looking for a Database Administrator with a strong background in Oracle SQL and PLSQL to work closely with the development team to help optimize and modernize a bespoke platform with an Oracle database at its core.Responsibilities:

  • Help to performance tune and optimize systems
  • Configure Monitoring & Reporting of critical Database systems.
  • Provides Technical support to Development and non-technical staff.
  • Must be available for On-Call schedule & support.
  • Manage Database environments for availability & security.
  • Establish and manage patching process for the Database servers & instances.
  • Database cluster/instance installation and configuration.
  • Monitor Database environments for performance metrics.
  • Implement Database Backup, Replication, Encryption, Availability, Disaster Recovery & Security procedures.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Backups & Recovery Performance management & tuning
  • Excellent organizational, written and communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing database tools (TOAD, sql dev) and SQL Scripting.
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • knowledge of Azure and Cloud Computing
