We help organizations protect their data by using leading technologies such as Vee am or oracle technologies combined with robust processes to ensure that necessary RPO and RTO objectives are met and that both disaster recovery and business continuity strategies are in placeJob overview:Pebble IT is seeking an experience database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of our company’s databases. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance and availability of our systems.Job duties:Design and implemented high availability database architectures achieved 99.99% availability and installed, configured and maintained Oracle real application cluster (RAC) and enterprise manager grid/cloud control.Performed weekly health checks fro client’s servers and maintaining backups and recovery procedures and correct issues.Maintaining documentation and executed steps in support of different planned production maintenance.Diagnosing and fixing various database performance bottlenecks, scrapped alert logs to identify, analyse and correct occurring issues according to approved procedures and guidelines.Managing Oracle Exadata system and Oracle database appliance, performing all aspects of database administration operational management and security protocols.Work with vendors and developers for application related issues. Upgradation of WebLogic servers in development, testing and production environment and applying patch and service packs by recording and detailing operational procedure and systems logs.Troubleshooting and providing support in server performance tuning, thread dump analysis, core dump analysis when server crashed unevenly, creating security roles group policy user authentication, auditing and authorization. Remotely managed servers with provided procedures and guidelines.Work on web security tools- LDAP serve, SSL certificates and client authentication for maintaining software security and application reliability.Troubleshooting, load balancing, clustering, deploying applications and maintenance. Create, configure and tune WebLogic domains/ applications for performance.Continually work on improvement of database integrity and security and documents the list of areas where improvement and enhancement is required in servers as well.Skills and experience:Proven work experience of at least 2 years as a database administratorIn depth knowledge of database management systems, specially OracleExperience with database performance tuning and optimizationFamiliarity with database security concepts and best practicesUnderstandings of data backups and security proceduresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (preferred)Benefits:An annual salary of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
