Job description: Database AdministratorPurpose of RoleYou will be responsible for delivering and maintaining and optimizing of our organization’s databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of all databases while supporting various teams in the efficient use of data. This role requires a deep understanding of database technologies, performance tuning, backup strategies, and troubleshooting of databases for a number of Symbio business segments. You will work collaboratively with Delivery, Software and Network teams in delivering systems and services as well as ensuring we understand the health of our systems at any point in time to reduce outages.Impact you will make in this roleYou will be responsible for solutioning, implementing and supporting database infrastructure projects for on-prem systems to enable Systems Engineering and a number of Symbio business segments to deliver services effectively. Help us modernize our tech stack by advocating fit for purpose solutions and enhance the way we work by informing end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize the systems well.You will be responsible to support, maintain and develop data and database systems across all instances of Symbio business segments.Qualifications and Experience

• Strong experience in MySQL and Postgres database technologies
• Experience in MSSQL and Oracle DB technologies will be beneficial
• Install, configure, and maintain relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Proficient in Database administration including security, backup and recovery and performance monitoring standards
• Forecast database growth and ensure that the database infrastructure scales efficiently to accommodate future needs.
• Maintain detailed documentation for database architectures, procedures, and recovery plans.
• Excellent communication skills at various levels from executive through to highly technical engineers
• Have a high attention to detail.
• Strong experience and exposure to large scale and complex applications.
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and geographically distributed environment.
• You are a person who continually self learns and improves your technical skillsets.
• Are curious, tenacious and creative.
• A sense of ownership of technical projects and improvement of engineering practices
• Are curious, motivated, self-learner but are also great team players
• Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in managing databases at enterprise level
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology is desirable
