You could be one of our 3100 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleJoin V/Line as a Data Quality Specialist and play a pivotal role in enhancing our data quality management capabilities. This fixed-term position, ending in June 2026, offers the opportunity to work within the Strategic Data Integrity Program, contributing to the development and implementation of data quality initiatives across the organisation.Key accountabilities include:· Develop and establish data quality management capability across V/Line.· Oversee and implement data quality improvements, policies, procedures, and assurance processes.· Embed a strong data management culture by advocating the Asset Information Strategy.· Identify data quality risks and inhibitors through consultation with asset management executives and stakeholders.· Optimise processes, including the automation of existing manual processes.· Conduct root cause analysis on data deficiencies and establish remediation controls.· Define controls to prevent recurrence of corrected issues.· Formalise ownership and custodianship responsibilities for various data elements.· Prioritise critical data and document associated data quality requirements.About youThe ideal candidate for the Data Quality Specialist role at V/Line is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in data quality management and a strong understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of data management. You possess the technical expertise required to develop and implement data quality initiatives, as well as the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the organisation. Your excellent presentation and interpersonal skills enable you to communicate complex data concepts clearly and build strong relationships within the team and with external partners.
