Job description: ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Engineer to join our team in Herndon, Virginia.As a Data Engineer on our team, you will work with of a team of cyber experts protecting our national security, while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement. We encourage our team members to share and grow their skills and expertise while creating robust and state-of-the-art solutions.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at enterprise scale, which may involve security-sensitive actions like illicit network access or data transferMake data available, accessible, and secure to all stakeholdersCreate robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics toolsAnalyze data sources for accuracy, data prioritization, and apply appropriate logic to developed solutions.Work with various analysts to craft requirementsEnumerate the necessary datasets and design the data model and schemas to support the requirementsProvide platform support, including problem solving and debugging, for production issuesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience in application development, software engineering or data engineering or High School Diploma and 6+ years of experience2+ years’ experience with PythonExperience with ETL tools, data transformation and data pipelinesExperience taking data collection requirements and translating those requirements into implementable solutionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Database Management, SQL and/or PostgreSQLExperience with LinuxClearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/PolygraphPhysical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentationsSKN.7.23
