The role involves leveraging data to identify trends, assess risk, and develop strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department’s operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, including financial systems and databases. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics related to credit and collections performance. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within collections and credit processes. Risk Assessment Assess credit risk by analyzing customer credit profiles and payment histories. Develop predictive models to forecast delinquency and default rates. Provide actionable insights to mitigate risk and improve credit decision-making. Reporting And Communication Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on credit and collections performance, trends, and risks. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders across departments. Process Improvement Collaborate with the Collections and Credit team to identify areas for process improvement. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize collections efforts and credit policies. Compliance And Documentation Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of data analysis processes and methodologies. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a collections or credit environment. Technical Skills Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, or R. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data handling and analysis. Preferred Skills Familiarity with collections and credit management practices. Experience with financial systems and databases. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to credit and collection is a plus. Mandarin speaking capabilities and fluency is needed for this role.
