As a young university, our goal is to connect, collaborate and make an impact with purpose and passion.About the RoleThe Cybersecurity Vendor Risk Officer is to support Cybersecurity Vendor Risk team in assessing and mitigating risks associated with third parties/vendors to UTS. The position will assist in conducting vendor risk assessments, following established processes and guidelines. Will support the development, evaluation and implementation of cyber governance, risk and assurance processes for third parties. Includes leading the vendor risk assessment process with the vendors and assisting throughout the risk identification and mitigation exercise during the assessment.This position will support the cybersecurity team to develop, evaluate and implement a range of appropriate processes, approaches, and activities to help mitigate and manage the risk from cyber threats and increase the protection of the university’s assets and information (confidentiality, availability, and integrity).
Detailed DescriptionAbout YouAs the Cybersecurity Defence & Response Officer, you will have:
- Prior experience cybersecurity, the threat landscape, cyber frameworks, and cyber operational issues.
- Knowledge of supply chain / third party cyber risk management would be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of security concepts; scripting languages; technical solution design; network and web related protocols
- Ability to analyse complex data and identify potential security risks.
- Willingness to obtain relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education,
training, and work.
Remuneration/SalaryBase Salary Range: $81,445 to $93,173 pa (HEW 5)This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
