We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Culinary Storekeeper to manage and maintain the inventory of food and non-food items in the kitchen setting. The ideal candidate will ensure that all ingredients, supplies, and equipment are stored properly, easily accessible, and accounted for, as well as assist in ordering and receiving goods.As a Culinary StoreKeeper we rely on you on:

  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels for food, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
  • Perform regular stock checks to monitor the quality and quantity of items.
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock to reduce waste (FIFO – First In, First Out).
  • Organize and store items in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Receive deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that items match purchase orders and are free from damage or defects.
  • Store food and supplies in compliance with safety and health regulations, ensuring proper storage temperatures.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate with the kitchen or purchasing department to place orders when necessary.
  • Ensure that inventory is replenished before running out of essential items.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality, freshness, and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Ensure that all products are stored within their expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records, including the use of inventory software or manual logs.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting needs for food and supplies.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, chefs, and purchasing personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with organizing and preparing ingredients for special events or daily kitchen needs.
  • Ensure that all kitchen storage areas comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas to prevent cross-contamination or accidents.

Qualifications: * Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management systems.

  • Experience as a storekeeper, inventory clerk, or in a similar role, preferably in a culinary environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes and supplies.
