As a Senior Consultant, you will be providing both qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform policy and regulatory decisions. This role requires substantial experience in cost-benefit and impact analyses within financial services or regulatory settings.The project needs a consultant who has:
- Economic Analysis Expertise: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in economic and financial analysis within a regulatory or financial services context.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Proven track record of delivering rigorous CBAs and impact assessments to support policy or regulatory decisions.
- Quantitative Modelling Skills: Strong quantitative and data analysis skills, with the ability to model complex scenarios independently.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial services, specifically the issues affecting regulatory bodies, such as market integrity, competition, and consumer protection.
Key Areas of Work :The key services that you’ll be asked to provide are:
- Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA): Perform comprehensive CBAs to assess the potential impacts of regulatory interventions, considering both costs and benefits.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather qualitative and quantitative data to support the regulatory review, helping to shape evidence-based recommendations.
- Option & Market Analysis: Evaluate intervention options, analysing market integrity, competition, and consumer protection implications.
- Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario modelling and forecast consumer and firm responses to regulatory changes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to align analyses with regulatory objectives and ensure timely, efficient delivery of insights.
Mandatory Skills/Experience :Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Economic Analysis Expertise: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in economic and financial analysis within a regulatory or financial services context.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Proven track record of delivering rigorous CBAs and impact assessments to support policy or regulatory decisions.

- High-Quality Standards: Demonstrable ability to deliver thorough, accurate analyses under time constraints, with an emphasis on detail and consistency.
Optional Skills/Experience :It will also be advantageous if you:
- Motor Finance Expertise: Knowledge of the motor finance sector and discretionary commission models.
- Behavioural Economics: Understanding of behavioural economics principles and their application to consumer decision-making.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R), with experience in data manipulation and analysis.
