As one company, we can accelerate and advance our ability to create meaningful innovations – but we will only succeed with the right people on our team.As a Credit Services Coordinator, reporting to the Credit Services Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that cash allocation services for both external and internal customers are delivered to the highest professional standards. You will also provide essential support and backup to your team members, ensuring timely resolution of any escalations when needed. This role demands a mindset focused on continuous improvement, with the ability to propose more efficient processes. - Post incoming cash through SAP, using the AutoBank module as required
- Perform offset and adjustment transactions as assigned. Transfer payments from other divisions using inter-company general ledger accounts
- Process write-offs to bad debt ledgers, as well as other write-offs as needed, ensuring that write-off requests are submitted with proper approvals based on the approval matrix
- Process customer refunds for Customer Financial Solutions, ensuring that refund requests are processed accurately, timely, contain the proper signatures, and are correctly processed through SAP
- Work on unallocated cash using internal reporting, and reach out to Credit & Collections, external customers, and other teams within Medtronic as needed
- Prepare SOX documentation as required for SOX testing and audits
- Prepare and post journal entries, and balance GL reconciliations upon request
- Take ownership of personal development, the Competency Model, and yearly goal updates
- Ensure actions are taken to achieve both personal and departmental goals and lead or support team projects, process updates, etc.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- A degree in Business or a related field is preferred
- Accounting experience within a commercial organization is desirable
- A post-school accounting qualification is also desirable
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel), and experience with ERP systems such as SAP
- Active involvement in the SOX process would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and across departments within the organization
- Adaptable, with the ability to change direction and priorities when required
- Able to build trust and credibility, and comfortable working in complex, multi-disciplinary situations
- Excellent attention to detail, and strong communication and organizational skills
- Good command of the English language (including written).
