• 4+ years experience in cost accounting; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge with experience in data collection and analysis (e.g., margin, yield, variance analysis).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Microsoft 365 Finance and Operations and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply it to tasks.
• Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset, capable of working independently or collaboratively to solve problems.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple demands, and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrates adaptability and creativity in addressing challenges and implementing effective solutions.

What you’ll do:
The Cost and Revenue Accountant at Nova-Tech Engineering will drive financial efficiency by managing customer data, billing, and inventory costs while providing insightful analysis on cost expenditures across material, labor, and productivity. Collaborating with various departments, this role will support company goals, budgets, and manufacturing processes through detailed cost reports and assessments. With an eye for detail and expertise in accounting procedures, the Cost and Revenue Accountant will continuously improve business operations and ensure a strong understanding of costs tied to processes and products, all within a strengths-based team environment.Other key areas include:

• Maintain costing info in ERP to assess financial impact and support departments.
• Recommend pricing based on operational costs and partner on new product development.
• Develop KPIs and reports on manufacturing costs and performance.
• Prepare monthly reports on efficiency, lead annual labor/overhead rate calculations.
• Oversee data collection, ensure accuracy, and improve reporting processes.
• Lead finance in physical inventory counts, prepare journal entries for cost accounting and inventory balances.
• Compile data for billing and machine administration, manage invoicing and billing software administration.
• Challenge current methods, create solutions, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate across teams for customer service, train on customer data, and ensure hatchery and machine communications are maintained.
• Support cost accounting audits and tax preparation functions.
