- Month end cost reporting.
- Posting entries to the General Ledger.
- Ensuring all costs are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
- Analysis of cost trends, detailed commentary by cost category and business lines.
- Quarterly forecasts of costs – working with business on inputs.
- Developing automated cost reports at departmental and company level.
- Departmental analysis of discretionary spend v budget.
- Working with Costs manager on budget.
- Ensuring a robust risk and control environment is in place through the documentation of detailed processes and procedures.
- Working with team and auditors on audit co-ordination and financial statement production.
- Working with the team on ad hoc projects during the year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in month end close process
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Due to the high level of spreadsheet-based work in the role an excellent knowledge of Excel would be an advantage: Pivot tables, lookups and knowledge of formulae etc.
