• Month end cost reporting.
• Posting entries to the General Ledger.
• Ensuring all costs are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
• Analysis of cost trends, detailed commentary by cost category and business lines.
• Quarterly forecasts of costs – working with business on inputs.
• Developing automated cost reports at departmental and company level.
• Departmental analysis of discretionary spend v budget.
• Working with Costs manager on budget.
• Ensuring a robust risk and control environment is in place through the documentation of detailed processes and procedures.
• Working with team and auditors on audit co-ordination and financial statement production.
• Working with the team on ad hoc projects during the year.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant
• Experience in month end close process
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential. Due to the high level of spreadsheet-based work in the role an excellent knowledge of Excel would be an advantage: Pivot tables, lookups and knowledge of formulae etc.
