It is involved in M&A lead advisory work, corporate valuations, providing strategic financial and commercial advice and financial modelling to a wide range of private and public entities in New Zealand.Our team has been ranked #1 in New Zealand by number of transactions completed for every year since 2005, and is the largest Corporate Finance team in the country, with a proven track record across a diverse range of sectors. And more recently, we have been awarded the 2025 INFINZ M&A Deal of the Year.
We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join our Christchurch Corporate Finance team where you will have an opportunity to work with market leading transactions and clients.As a member of our Corporate Finance team, you will:

  • Be a core part of our corporate finance team in providing modelling support on transactions, valuations, strategic and financial advisory solutions to clients
  • Take a lead role on financial and valuation modelling aspects of engagements
  • Manage and support client relationships
  • Play a strategic role in helping our team achieve its growth objectives
  • Develop knowledge through appropriate research, keeping current with firm’s technical and industry guidance, training and interactions with internal PwC specialists

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience:

  • At least 1 years’ experience working in a corporate finance, commercial or financial markets position with financial modelling experience
  • Prior experience working with clients and producing high quality financial model outputs and/or reports
  • A degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
  • CA or CFA designation and/or study toward this qualification is also desirable but not essential
  • Advanced user of MS Excel plus capable with MS Power Point, MS Office and the Google Suite
  • Experience in Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI and/or other ETL tools is desirable but not essential
  • Financial statement analysis experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A self-motivated, proactive and confident approach to your work
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with the ambition and motivation to grow with the firm
