  • Responsible for local and district level stakeholder engagement
  • Communicate with District Council members and local leaders, and draft written responses to the Councillors’ incoming emails, letters and enquiries on regular basis
  • Attend District Council committee meetings and prepare for verbal and written responses
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities such as community events
  • Support the preparation of political reports
  • Monitor public sentiments from various channels
  • Support the preparation of daily news clippings
  • Prepare bilingual press releases on relevant bus routes or projects
  • Work outside office hours when required such as typhoons and special traffic arrangements etc.
  • Assist in departmental administration

Skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communications, English/Chinese Language, PR/Marketing or related discipline
  • 3 years’ working experience in Public Relations/Communication role in the service industry
  • Knowledge of current affairs and understanding of local political landscape
  • Understanding of local transportation policies and market
  • Good spoken and written command of English and Chinese
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, detail-minded, multi-tasking and high responsibility
  • Familiarity of local media platforms and public sentiment monitoring tools
  • Strategic thinker with creative ideas and the ability to think ‘out of the box’
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer skills
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Officer
