Job description: We’re seeking a skilled On-Call Day Shift Cook to join our client’s food service team in London.What We Offer:

• Salary: $21 per hour
• Job Type/Shift: On-Call, Day Shift
• Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• On a bus route.
• Weekly pay via Direct Deposit.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards using a grill, fryer, and stove.
• Prepare trays for client take-out, including making sandwiches, desserts, and slicing vegetables/fruits.
• Ensure food preparation areas are clean and sanitized.
• Maintain professional demeanor and decorum.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and timely service.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations including proper food safety and sanitization.
• Ensure that guests, clients, customers, and co-workers are treated with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience as a cook in a busy kitchen or catering company.
• Must possess your Food Safety Certification.
• Proven knowledge of cooking techniques/preparation, and food safety practices, such as proper food handling, sanitization, and storage.
• Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils.
• Ability to work well with limited supervision and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
