Job description: Contracts ManagerLocation: Dublin, IrelandCompany: Morgan McKinley (onsite assignment with a client )Morgan McKinley is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our client’s team in the transport sector. This role is critical for managing and holding a key vendor accountable for their performance and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background and extensive experience in contract management, particularly in navigating complex contractual agreements and resolving vendor-related issues.Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management: Oversee the performance of a challenging vendor, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and any deviations are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Contract Analysis: Review, interpret, and manage large and complex legal documents, ensuring clarity and compliance with all terms and conditions.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any contractual disputes or performance issues, using a proactive approach to ensure vendor accountability and adherence to agreed standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations teams, to communicate vendor performance and develop strategies for improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with vendor contracts and develop mitigation strategies to protect our client’s interests.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to contract management processes and vendor management strategies to enhance overall performance.

Key Requirements:

• Legal Background: A degree in law, business, or a related field with a focus on contract management or commercial law.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract management, preferably within a regulated environment or the transport sector.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to understand, interpret, and manage large and complex legal documents and contracts.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating contract terms and managing vendor relationships to drive performance improvements.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
