To help deliver on this ambitious mission, we are on the lookout for the right talent to help us deliver.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Manager – Asset Delivery, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.In this newly created role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end management of major contracts, from shaping and executing procurement strategies and negotiating contract terms to overseeing contract performance and lifecycle contract management.A core aspect of the role will be providing commercial leadership across the Asset Delivery’s portfolio of renewable and BESS projects – guiding risk allocation, influencing contract structures (e.g. EPC, D&C, multi-package), and ensuring strong commercial outcomes that align with project and organisational objectives.Through your leadership in contracting strategy and execution, and in close collaboration with Project Managers and internal and external stakeholders, you’ll help ensure projects are not only delivered-but delivered well-meeting key time, cost, and quality metrics. Your approach will strike the right balance of risk while maximising value at every stage.Please note this is a full-time, permanent role based at either our Auckland or Hamilton office.About YouYou’re a seasoned contracts and procurement professional who brings both strategic thinking and operational rigour. You thrive in fast-paced project environments and enjoy balancing commercial outcomes with stakeholder needs and risk management.You’ll bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field
• 5+ years’ direct experience managing contracts and procurement for major capital projects ($100M+)
• Strong knowledge of NZ contract law (including the Construction Contracts Act), with proven success in contract negotiation, drafting, and administration
• Commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage supplier relationships and drive value
• Experience in utility-scale renewable energy and/or New Zealand’s electricity industry is a strong advantage
