Clarify roles, responsibilities, and obligations for all stakeholders involved in contracts
Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and quality standards.
Identify delays, discrepancies, or risks early and take proactive measures to keep projects on track.
Manage variation orders, change requests, and contract amendments efficiently.
Oversee and resolve claims, disputes, and contractual issues during project delivery.
Work closely with planning teams to prepare and assess claims for delays or cost overruns.
Collaborate with consultants and project teams to resolve disputes and maintain progress.
Assess and mitigate contractual risks such as cost escalations, scheduling conflicts, or legal challenges.
Develop strategies to manage project risks, including cost controls and contingency plans.
Oversee day-to-day contract administration on-site and ensure compliance throughout construction.
Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth operations and adherence to obligations.
Track progress against milestones, budgets, and deliverables, addressing any variances promptly.
Review and certify payment applications in line with contractual terms and project progress.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, variations, correspondence, and claims for easy reference.
Prepare detailed progress reports for senior management, highlighting key issues and updates.
Draft and issue formal communications on disputes, claims, and contractual matters to safeguard company interests.
Respond promptly to client, contractor, and consultant queries regarding contract terms or performance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all contractual matters, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Law, Construction Management, or a similar discipline.
At least 15 years of experience in contract and commercial management or construction law, with a strong emphasis on large-scale projects across the UAE/GCC.
Demonstrated success in overseeing contracts for major construction developments, including hospitality, luxury residential, mixed-use, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Solid background in site supervision, contractor and supplier management, and ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements during all stages of construction.
In-depth knowledge of contract law, construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, or similar), and project management principles.
