At the heart is our purpose which pushes us to do all we can to create a better future for our people, our communities, and Aotearoa New Zealand.Our Opportunity:The Continuous Improvement Specialist delivers operational improvement outcomes by working with stakeholders to identify, analyse and deliver opportunities for improvement, exploring diverse solutions including process changes, robotics or other technical solutions. This role aims to imbed formal continuous improvement frameworks, training and process within the Practice and also practically apply them for operational process improvement projects within the wider business.Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyse current workflows, processes, and outcomes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
  • Develop improvement plans: Design and implement strategies aimed at streamlining operations, reducing costs, and improving quality
  • Consider all possible solutions (i.e. robotics, process changes, tech platform enhancements, training opportunity)
  • Complete Canvas or Lean Canvas alongside the BAU Teams
  • Play an enablement role, coaching BAU teams how to adopt and implement a continuous improvement mindset
  • Stay abreast of continuous improvement frameworks, process analysis and mapping (e.g. Value Stream Mapping) and apply this in practice
  • Provide assistance and enrich the wider Continuous Improvement Practices skills and competency with on-going knowledge sharing

We are looking for:

  • Certification in a continuous improvement framework like Six Sigma, Lean methodologies is advantageous
  • Experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or quality management is advantageous
  • Experience in leading and implementing successful continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of process mapping, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
