This role will coordinate the consumer complaint handling activities for the site including data analysis to drive continuous improvement. Will also manage and coordinate all sensory activities within the site and to ensure compliance to the sensory requirements for raw materials, semi-finished products, finished products and keeping quality as per relevant Nestle guidelines.A day in the life…Reporting to the Site QA Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the consumer complaint handling activities.
- Perform statistical evaluation of complaint data and communicate any significant specific trend. Communicate Foreign Body complaints and follow up on actions.
- Proactively collaborate with the Consumer Services.
- Maintain Site Sensory program & activities to ensure compliance to Nestle and Oceania Sensory guidelines.
- Set up and ensure the sensory evaluation facilities and procedures are well maintained as per relevant Nestlé guidelines.
- Report any products that fail the release process to the QA contacts and/or Line Managers
- Coordinate net weight management on site to ensure legal compliance to standards.
- Advise and investigate on net weight issues and ensure CAPA’s are in place to prevent reoccurrence.
- Oversee all sampling plans and testing relating to product NIP. Examine all results to ensure conformance.
- Liaise with PAG team when product is Noncompliant or not entered into CAT.
- Drive improvement of the existing SAP set-up, including implementation of new initiatives.
- Become an active member of the QA Pillar. Demonstrate strong “everyday coaching technique’s” when developing autonomous work group on QA Pillar methodology to build competencies and eliminate defect and waste.

- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field of study.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Quality Specialist.
- Quality Systems background (Microbiology, Food science).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
- Passionate about working for Nestlé and sharing its purpose.
- Previous experience and familiarity working with SAP preferred.
- A working understanding of NZ Food Regulations is beneficial.
