We’re seeking someone with both the personal experience of addiction and recovery and possibly experience as a family member of an affected other to join our dynamic team.Together, we can ensure that the voices of our clients/tangata whai ora and their families are not only heard but truly valued, as we strive to meet their needs and honor our commitment to being active partners to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Key responsibilities include the following:
- Facilitating consumer and family feedback
- Providing invaluable insights, guidance, and advocacy for consumers and their families
- Representing the perspective of tangata whai ora/clients and their families
- Sitting on the National Consumer Advisor lived experience team
- Contributing to the transformational consumer/lived experience participation plan
Person specification:
- Having experienced alcohol and other drug treatment services yourself
- You will ideally have two years of post-treatment recovery
- Commitment to improving the lives of Bridge clients and their families
- Effective communication skills
