Position Construction Safety Supervisor
Location Reko Diq SITE – Balochistan Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or relevant qualifications (desirable).
Any recognized Certificate or Diploma in OHS (e.g., NEBOSH, OHSAS, NASP, etc.).
Formal Accident Investigation Training (e.g., ICAM / Taproot / Loss Causation).
Experience
Preferably operational experience in Health, Safety, Loss Prevention, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in Construction / Resources industries.
Experience with writing procedures and standards – safety systems.
Requirements
Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant Regulations, Standards, and Codes of Practice.
Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Ability to self-direct learning.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational health and safety advice and support across the construction projects.
Support where required with the operations sites.
Implementation and adherence to safety systems.
Implementation and adherence to Barrick’s Core Values and Code of Ethics.
Facilitate accident and incident investigations.
Conduct auditing and governance around safety on major hazards and contractors.
Safety coaching and development of RDMC Personnel.
Quality control of incident investigations.
Procedure development.
Participate in the Critical Control Management Program.
Ensure responsibilities outlined in the OHS Management Plan are understood and adhered to by all personnel.
Liaise with contractors and RDMC in relation to OHS activities.
Audits compliance to RDMC safety rules and policies, procedures, and programs as well as Government requirements.
Assists Departmental Managers in the implementation/Supervision of OHS activities.
Support in the implementation of emergency response procedures in his/her area of responsibilities.
Support in the implementation of OH&H programs in his/her area of responsibilities.
Advises line management and contractors regarding safety rules, regulation, trends, statistics and compliance with rules and policies.
Participate at the accident investigation, observations, Safety Leadership Interactions, Inspections, Safety meetings to assure that program are working as intended.
Assist line supervisor to have observations/Safety Interactions for their positions.
Conduct, manage and coordinate site Periodical Safety Inspections as per the planned schedule.
Participate in OHS Meetings (RDMC and Contractors) .
