Let’s work together towards a greener tomorrow.The Construction Proposal Manager is a precontracts role, which sits within the broader Customer Project Execution (CPX) team. The CPX team is responsible for the construction of wind farms, from developing proposals for developers through to hand over to the Service organisation.Working collaboratively with the Bid, Sales, Engineering and Planning teams, you will be responsible for developing robust and competitive EPC and S&I offers for some of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest wind farms.Region APC
Customer Project Execution – APAC
Bid Management OnshoreResponsibilities:

  • Lead and guide teams in the development of price, program and methodology for the delivery of construction related elements for new wind farm projects across Australia and New Zealand
  • Negotiation of construction annexures in turbine supply and EPC agreements with wind farm developers, and provide guidance and support to Procurement in contractor negotiations
  • Identify potential design and construction risks while also identifying opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
  • Drive Value for Money and lateral solutions by leveraging Vestas ‘full service’ capabilities across construction, manufacture and service to ensure high customer value creation
  • Identify and develop early works opportunities to improve customer value during the project bidding and sales phase.
  • Provide direction and guidance to Project Planners in the development of master programs

Qualifications:We are looking for a person with qualifications and experience that align with the below. We are open to receiving applications from candidates who may not meet all criteria but can demonstrate extensive relevant experience.

  • 8+ years of project management experience in civil and electrical works,with experience working on large EPC projects, from bidding phase to project completion
  • An understanding of wind energy and power infrastructure and an understanding of the construction drivers for renewable projects
  • Experience in upstream and downstream commercial negotiations
  • Ability to lead and draw together multi-discipline teams to deliver cohesive solutions
  • An ability to navigate across a matrix structure
