Job description: Responsibilities:Implement and manage an effective compliance program.Develop relevant policies for the department and Review all the company policies to ensure the relevant laws and regulations are complied with.Periodically submit Compliance Reports to Board Committee and Senior Management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations, adequacy of the compliance policies and mechanisms, gaps with internal policies and procedures and other compliance findingsCreate and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.Establishing self-audit and compliance monitoring programsEducate all employees on the latest regulations and processes including the impact on the organization if these aren’t complied withResolve employee concerns about legal compliance.Review & sign off marketing materials, products, services, IT systems, presentations, and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Perform enterprise-wide risk assessments to understand risk level, significance, and scopeContribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organizationAssist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requestsCollaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.Review and update the standards of conduct in the organization.Train to employees concerning the company’s compliance programCoordinating regulatory exams and internal business unit audits.Interacting with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization’s internal controlsEnsuring timelines on external disclosures by departments are metAct as a liaison officer with the regulatorRequired Skills:Relevant undergraduate degree, preferably in law, finance or banking industry qualifications are preferred10+ years Working experience within the Compliance & AML Sector, ideally within the financial services industryExcellent knowledge of relevant Federal Laws, CBUAE Regulations and AML regulatory obligationsRelevant certification in AML/CFT, preferably ACAMS or Diploma from ICAExcellent oral and written skills in English and having similar skills in Arabic language will be an added advantageShould be able to communicate with a variety of both internal and external stakeholdersHave a strong compliance culture, integrity, and trustworthinessIndependent oversight, problem solving skills, proven ability to deliver multitask quality work and be decisive both collaboratively and independentlyAnalytical skills
