Job description: The Citi Europe Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) organization is an independent control function that is designed to oversee and credibly challenge products, functions, jurisdictional activities and legal entities in managing compliance risk, as well as promoting business conduct and activity that is consistent with Citi’s Mission and Value Proposition and Risk Appetite.The Compliance Risk Officer – ICRM Governance sits within the Europe ICRM Governance team and is responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. The successful candidate will also further develop and support a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm’s risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, you will engage with the ICRM product and function coverage teams, in order to partner to develop and apply CRM program solutions that meet the product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi program framework.This is an exciting opportunity within the Europe ICRM team, where the successful candidate will have opportunities to take ownership of key tasks and work with senior management across several coverage areas, both locally and globally, building on skills such as monitoring, product reviews, policy development, regulatory change management and training development/delivery.Responsibilities:Participating in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Compliance programs, policies and practices for ICRM.Analyzing complex comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to compliance risk assessments, and monitoring of compliance related issues.Reviewing materials to ensure compliance with various regulatory and legal requirements and to ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified and addressed.Investigating and responding to compliance risk issues. Investigating regulatory inquiries, preparing required documentation, making recommendations to senior management on how to proceed, and preparing responses for the regulatory inquiries.Overseeing the monitoring of adherence to Citi’s Compliance Risk Policies and relevant procedures and preparation, editing, and maintenance of Compliance program related materials.Interacting and working with other areas within Citi, as necessary.Keeping abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.Europe ICRM lead support in relation to Regulatory Change Management process, covering key tasks such as:Coordination of the monthly Regulatory Development Steering Group (RDSG) covering metrics, program status updates and escalations/focus areas.Contribute to regular management and Board reporting.Qualifications:Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies, with particular focus on EU Laws Rules and Regulations (LRRs) such as MiFID, EMIR, EBA/ESMA Guidelines.Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptiveStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organizationStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organizationAbility to both work independently and collaborate with team membersExcellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one timeProficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Education:Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus; Advanced degree a plusBy joining Citi Dublin, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed) and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits that support you (and your family) to be well, live well and save well.
