Job description: Rush and Loughshinny Combined Clubs is a Community Employment Programme, supported by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection. The organisation represents various sporting and community groups which are voluntarily run. This programme will help our combined groups to develop and improve our community’s need. The aim of the programme is to provide work experience to Community Employment participants which will also contribute to better the facilities in the centres/clubs, the day to day running of the centres/clubs to maximize the availability, usages and quality of services provided by these centres/clubs to the local community. There are currently 12 offsite locations providing work experience. The work experience provided will cater for the participant’s progression by providing suitable training for the needs of the participant in order that they can progress into future employment. Responsibilities of the Supervisor: To be compliant with the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection guidelines. Planning and supervision of the day to day running of the programme. Implement training and development opportunities approved by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection. Assist in the recruitment and induction of new participants. Communicate effectively with participants and provide support during their placement. Assist with devising programmes to fulfil their employment and educational goals. Monitor and evaluate training needs and possess the ability to work with a diverse spectrum of people. Candidate Requirements: A strong understanding of the role of the Community Employment Supervisor. At least 3 years relevant management/supervisory experience with a strong administration focus. Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills. Administration, financial management of the programme, accurate record keeping cash flow and budgeting. Excellent interpersonal, planning and administrative skills. Experience in operating a computerised payroll system and budget management. Be capable of directing, motivating and supervising. Suitable character references should be provided and be prepared to complete Garda Vetting. Own transport is required for this position.
