Last date to apply: 22nd May 2025What is Commercial Power Billing Expert?The Commercial Power Billing Expert is responsible for managing all aspects of electricity billing and compliance across telecom sites, working closely with DISCOs at the division and sub-division level. This role ensures accurate billing, cost recovery, dispute resolution, and operational support, ultimately contributing to cost optimization, risk mitigation, and uninterrupted power supply across the network.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in utility billing, regulatory coordination, and commercial power management, with a strong ability to work under pressure and resolve field-level operational challenges. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in 2G, 4G, 5G technologies, RAN/MW deployment, fiber optics, power and solar systems, IBS, capacity upgrades, and New Rollout (NRO).What does Commercial Power Billing Expert do?Support Strategy Formation

• Assist the Head of task force in developing and implementing the strategy to prevent and mitigate the electricity & fuel pilferages and other infrastructure related thefts.

Liaison with Law Enforcement

• Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies to address the pilferage and theft related issues.

• Initiate registration of police cases against the elements involved in illegal activities at cell sites.

Landlord Management

• Assist the field operations and logistics teams to handle the problematic landlords ensuring uninterrupted cell site operations

Legal & Litigation Management

• Follow-up with legal for the proceedings in the court against the registered FIRs
• Laisioning and collaborating with law enforcement agencies and sharing the relevant evidences with them for legal actions.
• Assist the Head of TaskForce to maintain a legal risk assessment framework to continuously monitor and mitigate legal exposure.
• Supporting field operations and logistics teams in handling disputes related to site operations, lease agreements, landlord conflicts, and regulatory compliance.

Security & Risk Management

• Implement comprehensive policies to protect telecom infrastructure from vandalism, theft, forced shutdowns, and illegal encroachments.
• Identify and assess potential risks to company assets and implement strategies to mitigate those risks.

Government Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with municipal bodies, law enforcement agencies and community leaders to facilitate site operations.
• Negotiate with authorities and landlords on legal matters concerning telecom site installations, access rights, and operational compliance.
• Assist the Head of TaskForce in policy improvements and regulatory amendments to support telecom infrastructure growth.

Team Collaboration

• Work in close coordination and collaboration with all field operations, logistics and legal teams.
• Performance Monitoring
• Track and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of task force operations and identify areas of improvement.
• Budgeting and Resource Allocation
• To ensure optimized and effective utilization of allocated budget and resources

RequirementsWhat are we looking for and what does it require to Commercial Power Billing Expert?Education & Experience:

• Graduation in Electrical, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility billing, energy management, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of DISCO processes, tariff regulations, and energy compliance.
• Experience working with telecom operators is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Expertise in electricity billing, tariff analysis, meter reading, and audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle billing disputes.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Office 365 tools for reporting and tracking.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, power factor optimization, and energy saving strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and resilience under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple demands.
