The Finance and Business Services Group, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk, Workplace & Procurement, Pricing, Customer Collections, Payments, Group Reporting, Corporate Comms, Corporate Development and Investor Relations.The Commercial Manager for Financial Services Investments is a newly created role to support the management and reporting of investments in Athena and Simpology as well as support for M&A activity. This role will be pivotal in modelling new products and supporting the Mortgage Choice and Athena partnership.What the role is all aboutCompiling month end reporting of performance of investments and partnerships against budget and forecastReview ongoing monthly capital funding requirements for Athena partnershipReview of acquisitions against business case with detailed analysis of where any under / over performance has occurred and whyActively participate in, review, validate and provide commercial guidance on business cases for new products & initiativesSupport due diligence for any M&A activity understanding the impact to Financial Services strategy and financialsSupport in the facilitation of problem solving and prioritisation discussions across multiple stakeholdersBudgeting and forecasting share of profits or losses from Financial Services Investments in Athena and Simpology, flagging any risks or opportunities before they ariseSupport the annual strategy and planning processExtract and analyse data from multiple systems to meet group reporting requirementsYou will work with key stakeholders across REA, Athena and Simpology and share insights back to the Financial Services leadership teamWho we’re looking forRuns on the board – professional experience with preference for banking / mortgage broking experienceStrong influencing skills and communicator with the ability to drive commercial outcomesExperience in M&A due diligence is highly desirableHighly commercial astute and analyticalExperience in driving change, and able to navigate complexity and ambiguity to drive successful outcomesFirst class communication – written, verbal and presenting skillsExperience working in an agile fast paced environmentCross functional understanding and ability to collaborate in a complex, fast paced businessThe REA experienceThe physical, mental, emotional and financial health of our people is something we’ll never stop caring about.
