Expect all this and more when you join Linfox.What does the job look like?As the Commercial Manager – Coles Transport (NSW & QLD), you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of one of our most significant retail contracts. You will manage the commercial and financial aspects of this contract whilst also delivering significant commercial growth for the retail business.You’ll lead a high-performing team of commercial analysts and administration professionals, driving strong analytical outcomes and fostering effective, collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders. Your leadership will be key in influencing performance, guiding your team through complexity, and ensuring commercial excellence across the board. We’re flexible on location – with opportunities available for candidates based in either Erskine Park, NSW or Redbank/Parkinson, QLD.Key deliverables include:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial models to be applied across both states
  • Capture, monitor, and report financial performance by reference to key contract KPIs
  • Lead and coach both finance and operational teams with preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly budget forecasts
  • Work closely with Site Senior Management Teams to build a strong understanding of operations and customer needs
  • Support Managers in their understanding of financial performance and the financial drivers of the business
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders/customers.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and exploring new opportunities for improvement

Are you the one?You are a strategic and commercially minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’re passionate about partnering with operations, driving performance, and uncovering opportunities for growth.You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in a senior commercial role within Logistics or Transport, Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing or similar industry.
  • CPA / CFA / CA qualifications or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with a solid understanding of cost drivers and transport cost modelling.
  • Leadership of high-performance Admin/Finance/Commercial teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a systematic and organised approach to work.
  • Well-rounded analytical skills and commercial judgement with a key attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
