Job description: Commercial Litigation Lawyer 2 – 4 years paeThe firm/teamThis Commercial Litigation practice is headed by industry heavyweights with decades of experience between them. Additionally, providing motivating and interesting work, within a supportive and positive working environment.The roleAs part of this role, you will be involved in many facets of commercial litigation.This includes initiating and defending disputes in all courts, across areas as diverse as;

• insolvency,
• building and construction litigation,
• disputes between directors/shareholders and partners,
• property and lease disputes,
• enforcement of business agreements and
• commercial contract disputes.

This team has historically been instrumental is some of Australia’s highest profile and interesting litigation matters.To be successfully considered for this role you will need a solid academic background and a consistent career in litigation to date. You will also need to be enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills.Work will include

• Supreme Court, County Court and Magistrate’s Court matters;
• Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia matters;
• Appeals;
• Corporations Act matters;
• Compliance matters including ASIC and ATO investigations;
• VCAT matters;
• Australian Consumer Law matters; and
• Representation at mediations.
